2023 Stats Club Leadership
Saumya Seth, Co-President
Saumya (she/they) is a second-year A3SR student with a background in Mathematics. As someone on the Data Science for Social Impact track, she is interested in using statistics for social good. Applying her quantitative skills, she is specifically interested in driving policy change in the spheres of education and racial justice.
Nicholas Lepore, Co-President
Yuan Huang, Treasurer
Yuan is a first-year A3SR student with a background in economics and data science. She is interested in applying statistical models such as generalized linear models and other regression models to examine the impact of social and educational policies. In her spare time, she enjoys running, swimming and hiking.

Verónica Mesalles, Alumni Relations
Verónica (she/ella) is an A3SR alum (2023 graduate). She is currently getting her PhD in the Psychology and Social Intervention Program at NYU in the hope of expanding culturally informed research at the intersection of psychology and education and improving methodologies used to study marginalized communities. At NYU she has conducted work with the Culture, Family, and Early Development Lab and the Queering and Elevating Empirical Research Lab.
Manal Hajjam, Communications Officer
Manal (she/her), is a first-year A3SR student with a background in statistics and mathematics. She is interested in conducting research to further advance the field of women’s health in order to create a better, healthier, and happier lifestyle for women. Currently, she works full-time as a governance and data reporting consultant. In her free time, she enjoys working out and going on walks or hikes in nearby parks or along the Hudson River.
Michelle Uroza, Events Coordinator
Michelle (she/ella) is a third-year A3SR student with a background in human development and psychology. She is interested in educational research and social issues. Previously worked with AmeriCorps through Saga Education. Currently, she is working with International Networks. In her free time, Michelle likes to watch theatre shows, read, and trying new foods.
Adeeba Tak, First Year Representative
Adeeba (she/her) is a first-year A3SR student with a background in physics and mathematics. She is interested in understanding the political impact of social media in developing nations. She currently does research with the NYU Queer Data Lab. She is also involved with the NYU Student Government Assembly. In her free time, Adeeba likes reading, thrifting, cooking, or catching the sunset at one of the Hudson River piers.
